Since this election process started, I’ve become real intrigued by it. When I first got out of highschool, the law and people, always intrigued me. I wanted to be a civil rights attny for a while..but living alone and going to school fulltime..never worked out for me. My shifts would always change mid semester making it so I get “W’s” on my transcript..so I gave up that dream. I got really into graphic and web design so I made it a point to pursue that instead. I started taking classes to pursue a degree..as soon as I realized it wasnt something I want to do as a job buit only as an art…the election process started. The firs person to inspire me was Barack Obama. He was a civil rights attny, he was mixed with black and white like me, he was a leo like me…I loved his policies and everything in his mind..was conveyed so perfectly..he truly made me want to get into either law or politics. Then once he caught my ear…I started watching news channels..I watched CNN and MSNBC.,..tried to watch headline news but it never kept my attn. Fox, I knew from jump it was a no go. Eventually I got tired of spin and speculations with people that didnt do anything but piss people off, so I stopped watching CNN. One day I had to stop watching everything for about a week. It was overload..I became drained and stressed and couldnt sleep. I got consumed like an addict. Gradually..I weened myself back into the news with more of an outlook on who I could watch and who I couldnt..who was spin and who was real. There were anchors I LOVED(Olbermann, Russert, Moyers, Maddow, matthews sometimes)..like I knew them..and some I was like ehhh (matthews sometimes)..and some I knew I couldnt watch(buchanan, tucker, race to the whitehouse guy, morn joe makes me wanna throw my tv..not feelin him). So I turned the tv back on…kept it to KO and matthews. On primary nights I would watch CNN and MSNBC and loved seeing KO and Russert and Mathews together..it was almost like watching the ballet..they move well together. CNN…I like to see Donna. When the PA primaries were going thru that 6 week pause…I had to stop watching matthews. So my DVR was only set to KO and Russert. Im passionate about them both…almost like they are my family. They inspire the hell outta me..Im still undecided on what I want to do but because of those 2 and Obama..I am going back to school as a political science major. I want to have a voice so journalism will be one of the professions on my “short list.” lol…
Anyways..we lost a good man yesterday. Not too many in the industry like him anymore. He did alot for journalism and everyone that knew him, loved and trusted him. He was an overall GOOD GUY. So yea..yesterday I cried alot..and im sure if im reminded of him today..Ill shed some tears. Rest in Paradise Tim Russert..you inspired people that you never even saw before..your life was meaningful and motivational.

Largest Crowd Yet: 75,000 Rally in Portland
By Christopher Hass - May 18th, 2008 at 6:32 pm EDTFor hours now, we’ve been seeing stories about the huge lines for today’s outdoor rally at Waterfront Park in Portland, Oregon. It’s now been confirmed that the actual crowd on hand topped 75,000 people (60,000 inside the gates of Waterfront Park, with another 15,000 outside).
Here is what the largest crowd yet of this Presidential campaign looks like:

Well if you read my last post, you can see that I am a AVID supporter of Senator (soon to be president) Barack Obama. It all started in January of 2008. I was one of the people that was looking forward to Hillary Clinton running for president. She would be the first woman to become president and she was married to the best president of my time, Bill Clinton (or at least I had thought he was the best).
One day on myspace, I was talking to someone in notes, and he told me that he liked Hillary but Obama was saying some good things lately and he was placing his vote for him. I sarcastically said “Oh why? Because he is black?”…Ive always hated it when people make choices based on color, cause I’ve met some real BAD police officers that were black. Picked some fucked up teachers, that were black. Even picked a hindering counselor in school..because she was a black woman. Anywho..that is when he told me..”No, Obama is a good man, you should hear him speak”…so a few days later..I went to youtube and picked a random Barack Obama speech. It was official, and I was going to place my vote on Feb 5th for Barack Obama. Not only did the man say everything that I beleived in, he inspired me to be so much more then I am. He brought tears to my eyes because not only was he a black man who was intelligent…but he didnt base anything on race. It made him so appealing to everyone. Intelligence, humble, clean cut, mild mannered and even tempered. He just made us look so good. All the stereotypical things Ive heard non-blacks say about blacks…I could prove them all wrong with this mans example. So I emailed the clip to my mom and she made it official too. We voted for him on Super Tuesday and felt good about our choice. Well he didnt win California but he won over half the states that day..I think he won one more state then Sen. Clinton. Now let me back up a bit…I didnt stop liking Hillary, I just liked Obama better. So once this day came and went..hillary started showing her colors. Doing all this crazy unfair stuff to hold him back. I thought it was extremely unfair and begun being a bit protective of my candidate and disappointed in Hillary Clinton. Then I added Baracks myspace page to my friends list and Michelle Obamas page. She put me in her top friends so I started getting allll kinds of friends requestsfrom fellow supporters. I think I added around 40 people the first day I was up there. It was all good because my myspace turned into a little campaign site for Barack Obama. We begun to all do research on news stories and you tube videos…soon enough, thru everything we shared with each other..our hate for Sen. Clinton grew strong. The woman has a wicked past. Her and Bill fooled the hell outta me fa sho! Read about how she treatd her staff as the first lady, read about how her and Bill had a fucked up marriage in Arkansas but she would cover shit up by making threats and killing peoples cats. It was just all bad. Not someone Id ever want in office. Now I know as senator she made alotta money thru different crooked lil businesses and exchanges. She sold her soul to the devil a long time ago. The fact that the Clintons and the Bush’s are so close to each other..made me look at the idea of her being in the white house..alot different. Then the Bosnia thing happened. Bosnia and Ireland. She lied about Ireland but REALLY lied, on a number of occasions, about Bosnia…that was it..I HATED THAT LYING POWER HUNGRY BITCH. So yea…time has gone by and the primaries just had their Indiana/North Carolina election. It was beautiful because that was the worst 2 months of the campaign, for Barack. He came out with a 14 pt lead in NC and a 2 point loss in IN. Which is fine by all of us cause we allknow delegate allocations arent much of a difference with a 2% loss. So we are at a stand still. Hilary knows she cant win unless she has something real shifty planned. She is still running. On the 13th we have West Virginia. Then on the 20th we have Oregon and Kentucky. Then MT, SD, and PR. So we will see what happens. My goal in the meantime is to get these California super delegates to switch their endorsements. I started tonight with a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein. It went like this:
Hello Senator Feinstein,
My name is Tanya Xxxxx and I am a registered resident of California. I recently saw your statement in regards to Senator Hillary Clinton staying in this race, and how you support it. You said:
“I agree that she should take this for as long as she feels she has a chance to win it,” Feinstein added. “And she says she will do nothing that causes the party any difficulty.”
Earlier today, while speaking with USA Today, Hillary Clinton pulled the race card on Senator Barack Obama. These are the same stunts she has been throwing out ever since he became the delegate leader in this race.
As a democratic citizen, I am tired and ready to begin uniting the party. Its pretty hard when the other candidate continues to lash out falsehoods for spin, and ideas on how to change the rules of selection.
I originally was in support of Sen. Clinton because I liked what her husband did while in office, and because she was a woman like me. After seeing how she runs her campaign, attempted smears, and the instability of her support system; I decided to jump on the high road with Sen. Barack Obama. She proves to the people everyday, that her intentions are more for herself then the unity of the party.
If this continues, and I have no doubt it will as long as she’s allowed to run for office, democrats will not win in November. We will be beyond repair for unity because of the image that Sen. Clinton has placed on Barack Obama. This image is not just portrayed in television and paper media, but there is also alot of real damaging/untrue information circulating thru her supporters, on the internet. This information is racially and religiously motivated, and extremly far from the truth.
If for some crazy reason she does become the Democratic nominee, while not having a higher delegate count (like the laws state on how the democratic nominee is chosen) then I will no longer be a part of this party, I will not contribute my time and support for the election, and I will lose faith in the democracy of this country. This will not only be my feelings, but it will also be the feelings of a large amount of people who support Sen. Obama. People who are for the first times in their lives, involved in our countries political process. We are actively engaged because of inspiration and hope. We all want a chance to become part of the country, instead of being on the outside looking in.
Please help put an end to this stressful campaign, and change your endorsement to Sen Obama.Thank you
Tanya x. xxxx
We will see how well it works and Ill send some more letters out tomorrow. Im out for the night, its 2:34am. Ill be back sooner then later.
